The number of sales and the median price in the Chicago area were up by double digits from February 2020, the last month before the COVID crisis settled in.

More homes sold in the Chicago area last month than in any February going back to 2008, as the real estate boom that COVID and low interest rates kicked off continued to reach new heights.
