Our quest to “downsize” from our 5 bedroom home of 37 years in East Glenview was answered by purchasing a single family home in Westgate at the Glen. Several of our friends had already built and moved into this very attractive neighborhood. The Edward James Company came with a stellar reputation as a builder and designer. Landscaping is bountiful and beautiful. The curb appeal of the homes and pocket parks makes this a unique and charming community. And close proximity to the many restaurants and shopping in the Town Center is convenient.
The process from initial lot purchase, to design alternatives, to final build out and closing was managed by an excellent James staff. Selections of upgrades and layout was handled with their friendly and knowledgeable demeanor. And the process was nurtured by a grand construction foreman and punch list superintendent. What a pleasant change to live on one floor and to have everything so new and uncluttered. We are most pleased …. and this has negated any lingering nostalgia that we had for the old homestead. After living in our E.R. James built home for two and a half years, it is a delight to reflect on our experience. Everyone that we worked with at James was extremely knowledgeable and professional starting with the sales agent, the design coordinator, and then working with the building supervisors and their extremely skillful craftsmen.
We are thrilled with our James home. It’s perfectly designed and well built. The landscaping as well is A+, giving us beautiful grounds and privacy. We give the entire James Organization our highest personal recommendation.
